Dr. Robert Replogle joined Northern Rockies Neurosurgeons in August of 2006. Prior to that, Dr. Replogle served as Assistant Professor at the University of Texas Southwestern Departments of Neurosurgery and Neuroradiology.
He holds the distinction of being one of less than ten physicians in the United States to have been awarded a double fellowship in cerebrovascular and endovascular neurosurgery.
Dr. Replogle’s neurosurgical specializations are
minimally invasive spine surgery, the treatment
of all brain diseases,
and cerebral aneurysms.
In addition, he is the only neurosurgeon
in Montana, South Dakota, North Dakota, and
Wyoming with the training to perform highly-advanced
coil embolizations for the treatment
of cerebral aneurysms. Using a sophisticated
biplane angiogram machine, the aneurysm is
packed full of platinum coils, thereby reducing
the risk of a potential rupture. Until now,
patients in these four states had to travel
out of state for such treatment. Northern Rockies
Neurosurgeons is proud to be the first to offer
the coiling technology in this region.
Dr. Replogle graduated from Stanford University with honors, and then earned his medical degree from the University of Chicago Pritzker School of Medicine. He later completed an internship and residency at the University of Virginia. In 1995, Dr. Replogle became board certified in neurosurgery, and since then has participated in research projects at Harvard Medical School and the Max Planck Institute in Munich, Germany.
